Can I cancel my ICS insurance?

A student/scholar can only cancel their ICS insurance policy under the following circumstances:

    1.  Upon entry of student/scholar into the armed forces.

2.  If company is notified within FIVE days of ICS Policy Effective Date that the ICS insurance policy purchased does not meet the insurance requirements of your college/university.  To cancel the policy in full the company must receive the following documentation: 

A.    A letter from your university/college stating that they will not accept the ICS Insurance Plan as the benefits do not meet the college/university¡¯s insurance requirements (copy of waiver/compliance form showing what is not met); 

B.     You must forward this along with a letter from you the insured requesting cancellation.

Both documents (a & b  - as stated above) must be received at IFS (send this documentation via email to:  cancel@icsweb.org or fax it to 954-772-0872) within 5 days of ICS policy effective date in order for premium to be refunded.  If insurance was purchased with a credit card the money will be refunded minus a 3% service fee.

OTHER THAN THE ABOVE THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS  ALLOWED

No cancellation will be allowed if the enrollee has filed claim(s) even if the claim(s) is determined not eligible for coverage.

ONCE A REFUND/CANCELLATION HAS BEEN ALLOWED NO FUTURE CLAIMS WILL BE PAID.
